The bad news is S was not offered the job in Grand Junction, Colorado - the job we were both hoping and praying for so we could live close to family. The good news is we have heard from 2 schools so far, but no job offer as of yet.
University of Arkansas at Little Rock called the end of last week and told Seth that he made it to the short-list, and are going to be contacting his refrences. And last night he got a call from the Art Professor at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY (it's about 45 minutes from New York City). He's a finalist and will be interviewing with them the end of this month. Adelphi absolutely 'loved' S's Work. (I can't wait for all of his thesis vessels to be finished and pictures taken so I can post them on our blog. But, I'm afraid that it won't be done until April sometime. )
This just goes to prove to NEVER say NEVER! We spent our honeymoon in NYC and I said "I am NEVER going to live in New York" I greatly disliked it there and couldn't wait to get back home to my utah bubble. The fates are out to prove me wrong. I sure hope I don't have to eat my words. Hopefully Garden City is a lot better than NYC. But at this point in our life and economy, we'll take a career/job where ever we can!

Wow, how crazy! I'm sad that you didn't get the Colorado job. :( I know how it feels to not get to go where you REALLY want to go. But that is wonderful that he is still in the game for the other two places. Is Crete still an option?
