Spring break wasn't any break at all for S and I - more like spring work. He spent just as much time in his studio as normal - very long hours as well as trying to find time to write a 20 minute talk and revise his thesis statement. For me it was a very busy week, and on top of it all, as I do have the best of luck, I came down with a horrid cold. All I wanted to do was to crawl and bed and pull the covers over my head and stay there, the entire last half of the week! But oh no, I kept going. I had my job at the gallery, and then almost every evening there was some kind of a church meeting to attend - song practice on tuesday evening with a few ladies in my ward, which we presented to the Relief Society Birthday dinner of Thursday evening. Wednesday and Friday night spent with my primary presidency preparing for our Scriputre Hero Monopoly and Armor of God primary activity on Saturday morning, and inbetween all my spare-time research and write a 20 minute talk, keep us both fed and the laundry done and the house cleaned, etc. Finally last night, Sunday evening, we were able to set down and enjoy the few hours left of Spring Break, and watch a good cheesey LDS movie "Return With Honor". At times like this I don't know how you wonder-moms do it all! I'm sure I'll find out someday. Hope the rest of ya'll had a much more relaxing spring break!
Julianne, I really enjoyed your talk on Sunday. I honestly don't know how you prepared such an amazing talk with the week you had, feeling so sick. I was really touched by many of the things you said, and, typically I don't remember a sacrament talk at all after it's over, but I keep coming back to a lot of the things you said about children, and the gospel. Thank you for speaking.
