I must say that I love the feature "Sort by most recently updated" in the Blog List gadget. That way I don't have to scroll through my friends & families blognames looking for blogs recently updated. The posting time stamp and title is so convenient. Quite a time-saver when I'm spending time visiting blogs. Want an example? Just look at the right side of the screen and scroll down a bit. Public blogs: Thanks for staying public!
The downfall for those who have "gone private", I don't check your blog very often as private blogs do not allow for updates to be posted on linked blogs. Sorry for not visiting very often, but I do get to them every-once-in-a-while, and then I get to catch-up on the news, which is always fun.
.......PS........I understand the need for privacy tho, and am glad it is an option.

Sorry about the private thing - there is just so much I want to say that the world doesn't need to know about - I do send emails when I update though - are you getting those? I too like the feature you described, but honestly I use google reader and that is the best (in my opinion!) We missed you guys at camp - maybe one day we'll get everyone there!
ReplyDeletekeep checking our private blog. we update about every week.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I like that feature too. I use the Blog Following feature to show me all the updated blogs and love it. I think that blogger should change it so that if you are a reader of a private blog, it will show the update in your reading list. It does make it harder to go through each private blog too. (sorry I am a private blog that adds to that time log:)
ReplyDeleteHow do I get it to show me when the people in my list of friends has updated? If you look at my blog I just have their names, I've been wanting to change it but I can't figure it out! HELP! :)
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! Oh Julie you are so great. Thanks for the update. I need to figure out more of the gadgets and what not. Private blogs are great and all, but I too find myself not getting to them because I have to go and find the address and log in and on and on. I use to have mine private and then too many of our friends and family were struggling so I switched. This whole new cyber journal world is a funny thing. :)
