4 months Young!

SeAnna  is now 4 months.  The days have melted by, and I have cherished every single one.

SeAnna's name is a combination of SEth and JuliANNe and is pronounced C-Anna.

SeAnna still has some hair left from when she was born, but not much.  She has rubbed most of it off.

4 Month Stats: 13 lbs, 25 inches long, 16 inches around her head
Lucky girl - she has her mommy's hair and skin color.  Most times folks say her facial features are of  her daddy, she has been called Sethena and Sethette.  But every once in a while we get a comment that she looks like her mommy.  What do you think??

SeAnna now does tummy crunches trying to sit up.  She holds her upper body up very good now.

Loves to suck her thumb and index finger.  Hasn't yet found her hands to grab toys, but is close.

She rolled over twice on Jan. 16, but hasn't done so since.

She loves tubby time where she can kick and splash.

She arches her back when being picked up, which makes it easier to get my hand under her.

When she doesn't want to sit up, she throws herself back.

We still can't make out what color her eyes will be.  Some days brown, some days green, some days all three ... guess maybe hazel colored???
Love those Lush Lashes!  Lucky Lady!

Her sleeping schedule is great.  She sleeps at night for about 10 to 12 hours, going to bed around 7:30 pm, waking up enough to eat a couple times.  She naps 3 to 4 times during the day.  I have worked hard since she was 12 weeks old to get het to self-soothe herself to sleep with out having a cry-it-out-all-night session! SeAnna Loves her paci, and that helps her to fall asleep. So glad she's a good sleeper.

Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy ChildReally, this book has been so helpful in teaching me what her sleep should be like with each phase beginning at birth, and how to get her to sleep on her own.  It's a great book, and I highly reccomend it for any age of a child.

She has been a very good baby, no colic at all.  We are very happy about that!

When she smiles, her whole body smiles.

She likes to look at the baby (herself) in the mirror.

Grandpa M got her to do her first real belly laugh!  She has been gigling since the 2nd week of January.

We love our precious girl.  I am happy for each new advancement, but am sad that she is leaving her newborn-infant stage behind - it didn't last long enough.  I have enjoyed just being able to hold and cuddle her.

  6. JulieAnne, she is so precious!! I am so in love with that red hair and adorable smile. I would love to meet her and get to hang out like the good ol days! It is crazy how quickly the baby stage lasts, it is never long enough. It just gets better and better though. Miss you guys.
